Critical Time for Weed Removal in Corn as Influenced by Planting Pattern and PRE Herbicides

چکیده
Determining the critical time for weed removal (CTWR) is essential development of an integrated management plan. Therefore, field experiments were conducted to evaluate effects two planting patterns (standard and twin-row) with without PRE-applied herbicides on CTWR in corn. Experiments laid out a split-plot arrangement main plots: (i) standard row (SRP) that 70 cm wide, (ii) twin-row (TRP) 50 distance between each set double rows. Each plot was divided into sub-plots (with PRE herbicides). The sub-sub-plots consisted seven timings herbicides, tank mixes utilized (S-metolachlor (1.44 kg a.i. ha−1) + terbutylazine (0.75 ha−1)). similar both SRP TRP systems, where it around V1 V2 (16 19 d after emergence (DAE)) growth stages. use delayed V4 V10 (25 58 DAE) stages up V11 (60 stage TRP. These results clearly indicate are important protecting corn yields regardless pattern. In more meteorologically favorable seasons (sufficient heat precipitation) sowing plants produce their biological maximum fact over number per unit area (SRP = 80,000 ha−1, 93,900 provide higher variants thus advantage system can be justified.

Real-time Soil Profile Water Content as Influenced by Weed-corn Competition
Weeds compete with crops for belowground resources; however, there is little detailed information on relative dynamics of soil water during competitive interactions. This research was conducted to determine changes in soil-water storage (CSWS) in rain-fed no-tillage corn (Zea mays L.) production in the presence or absence of weed competition over two droughty growing seasons. Weeds at the exper...

Seed dormancy is a genetically inherited trait whose intensity is modified by the environment during seed development and maturation. In order to study the effect of harvest time on the seed quality and optimum time of sowing to obtain good quality seeds, freshly threshed seeds of ten diverse rice genotypes harvested from six environments were evaluated for seed dormancy and seedling vigour ind...

The critical period of weed control (CPWC) in crops depends on many factors including supply and availability of nutrients. In order to investigate the effect of starter fertilizer on the CPWC in soybean a field experiment in a randomized complete block design with four replications in a factorial arrangement was conducted at the Agricultural Research Farm of Razi University, Kermanshah, Iran. ...
